Knight Refrigerated
IsWas A TruckerTwotimes Approved refrigerated long haul Carrier, I am The "World Famous" TruckerTwotimes and I did approve Knight Refrigerated Trucking, this is who I used drive for, I chose Knight Refrigerated because of their vast amount of freight in Gods Country, I hired on at the Columbus Ohio Terminal with Derek Peterson, Derek loves his job and that spirit moves through the drivers that are dispatched out of the Columbus Terminal, that great attitude and love of his doing what he does rubs off all the way to the Customers that a Driver represents his Company to, Derek is the head operations manager there, for a large trucking company Knight has made it more associate friendly, like Wal Mart uses this word "associate" Knight does as well, I like this term, it is a "part of the team, family type term"{Updated Feb 11, 2009} Dan Kutter moved back to Columbus from Phoenix and took Dereks place as Derek went to New Jersey with Knight Refrigerated to handle a big freight account, Dan Dan The Dispatch Man is a Mover and Shaker and does a fine job hustling freight to keep me moving in a slow time
I enjoyed hauling boats with MDS before the economy went so far down, getting a great diet of Gods Country for a small time period with lots of dirty side thrown in in the later part, I knew it was time to move on in order to submit myself to Gods true calling in my life, which is Trucking long haul first and then to serve Gods Country exclusively
I define Gods Country as interstate 35 and all areas west of that not only in the United States but in Canada as well, if you drew a line straight up that would divide the TruckerTwotimes approved running areas, problems with too much traffic caused by population makes trucking more difficult these days in overpopulated areas, and with the split speed limits, left lane restrictions that the me first law makers have unfairly imposed on the back bone of the nation, I will provide my services to the Western half only on a full time basis
Knight Refrigerated got me there
Truck Drivers are a rare breed and this is a lifestyle, regardless of what new age may say, refrigerated hauling is also a special lifestyle inside of a trucking lifestyle all it's own, if you have a love for refrigerated hauling this is a o.k. place to drive
I do an almost daily audio podcast as well as video of my travels on the road, all this can be found on my main page here at www.truckertwotimes.com
{update March 20, 2009} I left employment with Knight Refrigerated after 6 months because I burned out on driving a slow truck, while they did have a great volume of freight, the 62 mph maximum cruise speed and 64 mph max on the foot became too much to continue to endure, I am a hard worker because that is how I like to work, but, the 400 horse powered motor that was cut back even on a pull in order to get the best fuel mileage put too much extra work on me, nothing against the company personally, I knew the mph restriction before I went to work there, I just didn't know how long it would take to burn out on it, it is a shame that drivers are the ones taking up the slack for such a poorly run corporate America, I lone for the good ole days when Trucking was fun
