Morristown Drivers Service in Morristown Tennessee is
update as of March 4, 2008 I returned to work with MDS after a brief change over to shot gun tanker yanking over at Indian River Transport I am currently hauling boats for MDS to all 48 states and Canada, I leave the rest of this page unchanged for your learning pleasure
This page is to tell you Update again on June 20, 2009 I returned back to work for MDS I missed these folks everyday I was away, must be where God wants me, the rest of the page is unchanged now listen to my podcast titled "Why Do Drivers Job Hop" The Truck I'm driving is a 2005 Volvo VN 670
It has a lot of comfort features, I enjoy an automatic
transmission and a powerful 475 horsepower Cummins Diesel engine I have a 4 part Video presentation up on my youtube site with
a complete tour of my Big Trucks Interior MDS pays me 38 cents per mile to help move America I prefer to pull a reefer trailer of which MDS has both dry van and Refrigerated Trailers, there's just something about having that extra motor on the front of a trailer that appeals to me, I also enjoy the kind of freight I get to haul in a reefer In the Summer, we haul produce back from California, I love California, even if they do have a tight speed limit the Salinas area of California has a soothing mood setting about the area, and I always look forward to loading produce out there, the only problem with being out west is the "jet lag" feel I get when traveling back east, coming back into three time Zones, loosing time as I travel back east, but, the feel of making time going west from the east is wonderful, I enjoy making up three hours as I travel west, so, I always like going west
We have some good ole boys that work here also, several have been there and done that, so, MDS knows Trucking We have a Welcome Home Drivers sign in front of the Office, and, everyone is always welcome I enjoy being able to work with people that are just ordinary country folk like myself, we are one big happy family at MDS, if you live in or around Morristown Tennessee, Crossville Tennessee, or I guess around the Charleston South Carolina area, we have terminals there We don't have trucks parked on the fence like some of the big carriers do, we use everything we've got and try to make the best with what we have, all good well maintained safe equipment, but if you are looking for a good country work atmosphere you might have to wait for a truck, maybe Jerry Malone heads the Safety Department at MDS and is an ole Cowboy from the good ole days of Trucking himself, Jerry or anyone else in Safety or the shop or the dispatch is usually pretty busy, but always take time to chat, I like that. I am proud to be a part of Morristown Drivers Service and look forward to a long and successful career here as a matter of fact, you can catch my daily Podcast that I do from my Big Rig as I travel across this beautiful Country, and if you've ever wondered how a trucker lives, now you can know. Hear me on the Mevio Network which is headed by Adam Curry, Adam sounds like he enjoyees traveling too, I think we all enjoy traveling, it is nice when you get paid to do something you really enjoy doing, and I enjoy driving I hope you enjoy the Show
